On the 6th February, our staff were so excited to visit Highdown School in Reading. We were asked to deliver advice to students about potential careers in sport, mental health and social care. As coaches in sport, mental health is a huge part of well-being and performance, especially in young people. We strongly feel that it is very important to address mental health in open discussion, to discourage the stigma surrounding it, especially in sport.

Metal health has also had a huge rise, we believe, due to the presence of social media. As a coaching staff and programme, we have invested time into learning more surrounding Cyber Security to lessen the risk to our athletes and keep them as safe online as possible.

We were extremely grateful to be able to have this experience at Highdown School to help encourage these career paths and educate younger people on these very relevant topics which are extremely important within sport and other areas.
